Followings are the set of Role Tags in RabbitMQ:
Monitoring in RabbitMQ:
If any user has this Tag or Role then user can monitor all connections, channels and node related information.
Policymaker in RabbitMQ:
If any user has this Tag or Role then user can manage all the policy and parameters for VHOST(only for which they have access).
Management in RabbitMQ:
If any user has this Tag or Role then user can access web management plugin.
Administrator in RabbitMQ:
If any user has this Tag or Role then user can manage each and everything in RabbitMQ.
- Manager users
- Close other user’s connections
- Manage policies
Let’s see example how to create user in RabbitMQ and assign respective privileges:
- Open Browser http://localhost:15672 (guest/guest)
- Click on Admin Tab
- Click on username as just created (example: oriontutorials)
- Now click on set permission button as highlighted above, and we are done with user permission and click on Admin tab and check below image.
